Goldberg & Company is a small to mid-size, family run business management firm, seeking an Account Manager / Bookkeeper to join our team of dedicated professionals in our Woodland Hills office. The average tenure of each of our current account managers/full charge bookkeepers on our business management team is over ten years and we are looking to fill this position with someone who is willing to learn and grow with our company over the long term.

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the day-to-day business, personal and financial affairs of assigned clients and entities. The Account Manager will be handling the bookkeeping and client service for a set of clients.

This position is an in office position in Woodland Hills, with the ability to go remote at a later date.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily client activity, including requests and timely follow up on all outstanding matters
  • Record client transactions (AP/AR, cash receipt and journal entry coding, general ledger, payroll and financial statements) in Datafaction or Quickbooks
  • Create weekly cash comparisons, cash reports, monthly bank reconciliations and review bank balances. Create and send transfers as needed. Handle client invoicing as needed.
  • Monitor and enter client credit card activity, fraud alerts and credit score issues
  • Monitor Insurance renewals and claims
  • Assist with home and car purchases
  • Other projects, as needed.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping for high net-worth individuals, preferably within business management
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is highly favored
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the general ledger, AP/AR, insurance, payroll, bank reconciliations and financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills (in person, on the phone, and via email)
  • Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow through
  • Commitment to professionalism, timeliness and accuracy
  • Ultra detail oriented
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and databases
  • Experience with Datafaction, Agilink and/or Imaging Software, Quickbooks is highly preferred
